Youth Ambassadors

Plymouth HMS Heroes Youth Ambassadors represent HMS Heroes views and challenges. They are the active voice of our group and campaign on behalf of us all for the things that are important to us. Heroes Ambassadors are usually aged 16 to 18 but can be joined by any Hero members from secondary schools. They meet monthly, in a central venue, after school hours, to discuss issues, plan campaigns and fund raising events and to talk about what matters to young people from Service families.

At Your Service

This is a campaigning film, created by the Ambassadors, to highlight to school teachers, the issues faced when a parent is deployed. The film was made with support from Fixers, who enable 16 -25 year olds to highlight the things that matter to them. The Ambassadors have met with the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Minister for Service Personnel and Veterans, their local M.Ps and Councillors to campaign to have the voice of Service children and young people heard, not just in Plymouth but also across the nation.

The film premiere took take place on June 25th, during Armed Forces Week, hosted by 29 Commando at the Royal Citadel, Plymouth.
