Roseberry Community Primary School

As the Headteacher of Roseberry Community Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our school HMS Heroes website.

I feel extremely privileged to lead Roseberry Community Primary School. It is a caring village school with a dedicated and committed staff, supportive Governors and parents, an active PTA (FORS) and happy children!

Together, the staff, governors and I work hard to enable children to become effective and successful learners. We provide an environment with positive and confident attitudes and encourage mutual respect. As I walk around our school I am always impressed that the children are inspired and enthusiastic about their learning, which is purposeful, structured and objective led with targets, building upon previous knowledge and developing new skills.

I firmly believe that children learn through fun and am glad that staff members share this view, providing a range of exciting, quality, experiences for all, both in school and through extra curricular activities, that are matched to individuals’ abilities. A variety of teaching and learning strategies are used with ongoing assessment to ensure progression for every child. This, in turn enables us to help children develop as enquiring, reflective, independent learners with high expectations for themselves and their learning.

The partnership between home and school is essential in enabling children to develop and thrive socially, emotionally and academically and I consider it to be invaluable. I welcome your views of our school and offer an open invitation for you to meet with me to share your views at any time.

Should you wish to visit our school, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to accommodate you! I know that you will receive a warm welcome from members of the Roseberry family!
