Welcome from the Head teacher

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to anyone visiting our Website and hope that in whatever capacity you are reading this you will recognise the strengths, achievement and potential that exists within our school.

We are a true comprehensive school and are proud of the diversity of our intake and the success of the school as a dynamic and outward looking learning community.

We are a school that has an agenda – it simply wants to be the best it can be. We realise that we have yet to reach our full potential. However our recent examination results and the external inspection report by OFSTED demonstrate that we are making rapid progress in our journey towards excellence in all that we do. We are fortunate to have a body of students, staff, parents and governors focused on making Richmond School a truly outstanding learning community.

Our vision is to develop a lifelong love of learning and to inspire all students to achieve their full potential. Hence, we know that we cannot take our eye off the ball when it comes to delivering outstanding teaching and a curriculum that provides challenge and enrichment. Outstanding academic performance is a vital part of education but it is by no means the whole story; we want all students to find an interest and to develop whatever talents they possess.

We are delighted that we have many links with our wider community and that the school is regarded as a huge asset by the many individuals and groups who want to take advantage of its resources.

We hope that our Website demonstrates the wide variety of opportunities offered at Richmond School. If you cannot find the information you require simply contact us and either myself or one of my colleagues will be eager to help.
